Transport publishers, Irwell Press Limited, are pleased to announce the publication of An Illustrated History of THE PORT OF GOOLE AND ITS RAILWAYS by Mike G. Fell OBE. Mike was Assistant Docks Manager at King's Lynn from November 1979 until February 1983 and Port Manager there from July 1984 until April 1987.

New Book - Retired Port Director, Mike G. Fell OBE, has become a noted author on transport history and has written a new book on the STAFFORD & UTTOXETER RAILWAY, co-authored with railway historian, Allan C. Baker. Mike was Assistant Docks Manager at King's Lynn from November 1979 until February 1983 and Port Manager there from July 1984 until April 1987.
New Book - Retired Port Director, Mike G. Fell OBE, June 2018 This is the third Irwell Press book written by Mike on ports and railways having previously covered King's Lynn and Goole. His latest book explores Hull's docks and their railways, describing and graphically illustrating the history of the port and its railways from the opening of Queen's Dock in 1778 until the present day. Mike Fell, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, was in charge of the Port of Hull for sixteen years from 1987 until 2003 and previously was a stevedoring operations manager at the port for three years from 1977 to 1979. Mike was Assistant Docks Manager at King's Lynn from November 1979 until February 1983 and Port Manager there from July 1984 until April 1987.
