Results in Brief

FIRST Male Senior PLACE the main 10K race was won by Aaron Scott (2075) from Stamford, Lincs, won the 10k event, (Team Notts AC)after completing the course in 31mins 12 sec (Chip 31:11)

FIRST Female Senior PLACE the main 10K race was won by Faye Fullerton (2) won the 10k event, (Team Havering Mayesbrook AC) after completing the course in 35mins 39 sec (Chip 35:37) (place 55)

FIRST Male Junior PLACE the main 10K race was won by Sean Watson (1598) won the 10k event, (Team City of Norwich) after completing the course in 32mins 41 sec (Chip 32.39) (place 8th)

FIRST Female Junior PLACE the main 10K race was won by Aylisha Cain (32) won the 10k event, (Team West Norfolk AC) after completing the course in 42mins 09sec (Chip 45:40) (place 421)

Matt Pyatt (333) was the first local runner home in Sunday's Grand East Anglia Run (Male Senior) and collected the Duncan Gooderson Memorial Trophy, awarded to the first man to finish each year from the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk area. (Team Huntingdonshire AC) He finished in a time of 34mins 04sec (Chip 34:04) (place 25)



10k race information.

This year (2014) 1,975 runners set off from the Tuesday Market Place for the races.

The Bespak Grand East Anglia Run is a fast, flat 10k road race through the streets of King's Lynn.

The race has a UKA licence (2014-10598) and will be staged in accordance with UKA rules for competition. The race is a British Association of Road Races (BARR) Gold Graded event and the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk is affiliated to BARR (Ref 608), UKA/Run Britain and England Athletics. The event is insured under UKA/Run Britain's policy.

The Bespak Grand East Anglia Run is suitable for all ages and abilities, although runners must be aged 15 or over on race day.

The event started at 10:30am in the Tuesday Market Place in King's Lynn.

Award categories for the event include overall race winners for men and women, wheelchair competitors, juniors under 21, seniors 21 - 39 and veterans over 40 years plus team events.

This year, was the first time, the Bespak Grand East Anglia Run will host the British Masters Athletics Federation Championship (BMAF) for veterans over 35 years. Separate results and winners for the BMAF.

The event is organised by the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk with the help and support of many local volunteers and organisations.

The Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk has associate membership to England Athletics.

Mini gear information

The Mini GEAR is a 1.2-mile fun run for people of all ages and abilities. The start and finish was in the Tuesday Market Place (TMP). The start will took place just after the start of the 10k race at approximately 10.35am.

The minimum age to take part on event day is 6 years old. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult entry for the duration of the run. Anyone under the age of 18 must have parental consent to take part.
